In 1946 Leonard Read, with six other lovers of liberty established the Foundation for Economic Education, a non-political, educational champion of private property, the free market, and limited government. The Freeman magazine was to become the Foundation's flagship publication promoting the "Ideas of Liberty."

"Leonard Read was always aware of the ethical and religious dimensions of human liberty. American institutions and the American way of life, he believed, ultimately rest on the tenets of the Judeo-Christian religion. It is from this source that we derive our convictions as to the meaning of life, the nature of man, the moral order, and the rights and responsibilities of individuals." Mary Sennholz

Much of Read's ideas on liberty are retained for us in his writings. Now BHI invites you to investigate his ideas with these great hardback books very reasonably priced at $3.00 each
